Lyrics

I don't know how to write music so if the words induce a melody, I'd love to hear it.

Sleep well, dream deep

I ride a black horse through the night
Panting, our blood coursing, she holds me tight.

Hearts together we find the moon, so bright.
When we touch the sea, she turns white.

Sleep well, dream deep.
Take me with you, take me there.
How much further do we dare?

Dolphins leap, now I wonder... am I still asleep?
Unicorn, take me down, to where Neptune weeps.

The ocean, filled with his tears,
washes away all of my fears.

Sleep well, dream deep.
Take me with you, take me there.
How much further do we dare?

Drowning, dead, until I dare,
to breathe the water instead of air.

She floats luminous, translucent, in her raven hair.
Taking my hand, then my heart to I know not where.

Sleep well, dream deep.
Take me with you, take me there.
How much further do we dare?

Not a word does she whisper.
Our lips aching, she beckons to kiss her.

The waves come for her, turning her into mist.
Reaching, my hands cry empty. Had we really kissed?

Sleep well, dream deep.
Take me with you, take me there.
How much further do we dare?

With this mystery, yet she leaves me.
Alone on the shore her loss grieves me.

On dark nights she sings, a siren's song to...
Cross the bridge, listen for the bird, look for the baby.

What does it all mean? I can only sleep well, dream deep.
Take me with you, take me there.
How much further do we dare?

Walk to the Light

Funny how things go. A simple shot to the head,
left me confused, left me for dead.

Not so simple, as the sun holds me down
my face pressed, forced to the ground.

Too much light, brighter than a full-moon night.
Inviting, beckoning, walk this way.

Walk to the light, just another night.
Wish I could see, you're watching me (from above),
I guess you won't hurt me,
and all I feel is the sea (of love).

Curious about the blood, could I lose much more?
How much in gallons, I think one point four.

They all know me, most I've never met.
I reach to touch, but the light is as close as I get.

This search for the rainbow-feathered bird.
Led me here, destroyed my fear.

Walk to the light, just another night.
Wish I could see, you're watching me (from above),
I guess you won't hurt me,
and all I feel is the sea (of love).

The severed artery drains me, eyes sightless I'm no longer the same.
No matter, there's nothing more to see, from whence I came.

Just getting comfortable, now I can see, so free.
You, who wouldn't hurt me, denies my plea.

Why won't you let me stay, just another day?
The sun so warm at my back, I reach, they pull away.

Walk to the light, just another night.
Wish I could see, you're watching me (from above),
I guess you won't hurt me,
and all I feel is the sea (of love).

The sea of love, watching from above.
All I feel is the light, hold me tight.

All I see is the love, hold me light, one more night.
